Sorors I am FULLY COMMITTED to the Blazin' Southwest Region!
I am honored to be slated as a candidate for Chair of the Southwest Regional Nominating Committee.
In Delta, I have served on the chapter nominating committee, and as a member of the Southwest Regional Nominating Committee, both resulting in a full slate of candidates. In these roles, I gained experience managing and leading a nominations process, encouraging sorors to seriously consider elected leadership roles, and co-facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions. On the Regional Nominating Committee, I had the opportunity to co-facilitate the region’s first virtual candidate’s forum as we pivoted our efforts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. My skills in conducting training sessions are further enhanced from years of experience as a Membership Intake, DID, and Grow with Google trainer.
Professionally, during my 25 years as a higher education administrator, I have been responsible for the hiring, development, and/or evaluation of entry-level to senior staff ranging from 5 to 170 employees. I have also served on 15 executive search committees, two of which I chaired, ranging from Director of Career Services, Police Chief, to Assistant Vice-President.

FULLY COMMITTED to Transformational Leadership
Transformational leaders work with teams to identify needed change; are strong in their abilities to adapt to different situations; and share a collective consciousness while leading others. Therefore, as Chair of the Southwest Regional Nominating Committee, I will be determined to: (1) cultivate a synergistic environment with the elected nominating committee, where each member is encouraged and supported in fulfilling her individual platform goals, as we collectively serve the region; (2) lead a regional nominating team endeavoring to seek out Sorors who possess a breadth of knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired from various life experiences, in addition to those with a depth of sorority positions/involvement; and (3) deliver to the Southwest Region a slate of uniquely qualified candidates who will undoubtedly make a transformational impact on the region. Considering my professional and sorority experience- I am Fully Credentialed; along with a unique understanding of this role, I am Fully Confident; that if elected I will be Fully Committed to the development of leaders in the Southwest Region!
